Students from Warrington & Vale Royal College are celebrating an exciting milestone this month as they begin to receive university offers from higher education institutions across the country.

These determined and hardworking individuals are eager to embark on their next academic journey, with universities nationwide preparing to welcome them.
These students, whose time at college has been made up of a combination of academic learning and practical industry experience, will have achieved their BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma before moving on to begin their degrees with well-known universities throughout the UK. Their qualification, which is recognised as the equivalent to 3 A Levels, and their conscientious attitude to learning has set them up to be outstanding scholars in their higher studies and future careers.
One standout student eager to take the next step is Level 3 Sport student, Star Connor. The former Irlam & Cadishead Academy pupil has thoroughly enjoyed combining practical training with theoretical knowledge and credits her tutors for helping her shape her future aspirations. This September, Star will start her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. Reflecting on her journey, Star said: “I chose to study sport at Warrington & Vale Royal College because I was impressed by the incredible facilities, like the onsite gym, and the kindness and passion of the tutors. The support I’ve received from the college has been amazing in helping me achieve my goal of going to university. With all of my offers coming in, I’ve realised how much the college has exceeded my expectations!”

Eva Harrison has received offers from four universities, including the prestigious Russell Group institution, University of Leeds. Currently studying Level 3 Fashion Innovation at the college, Eva will soon begin a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Marketing at the University of Leeds. Reflecting on her time at the college, she said: “My tutor has been amazing in guiding me through my decision-making process. They’ve supported me every step of the way, and I feel confident about moving on to university and pursuing my goals in the fashion industry.”
Another outstanding student who has accepted offers from his top two universities is Joseph Dobson, a Level 3 Games Design & Animation student. The former Sir Thomas Boteler C of E High School pupil, Joseph, is now looking forward to progressing to Manchester Metropolitan University to study Games Design this September. Speaking on his experience at Warrington & Vale Royal College, Joshua said: “I have had the opportunity to learn a lot during my time at college. The facilities in the college’s Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Academy have given me the skills to thrive in the industry I wish to progress in and I can’t wait for my next step.”

These students are just a few examples of the many university offers emerging for Warrington & Vale Royal College students. Through a combination of exceptional teaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and a commitment to nurturing both academic and personal growth, the college continues to prepare its students for bright futures in higher education and beyond.
