New “coolest” motorbiking Rector leads Grappenhall Walking Day

VIDEO: JUST four weeks into his new role, Rev. Mark Orrell led Grappenhall Walking Day as hundreds of villagers turned out for the annual event.

Overcast skies and a few showers failed to deter hundreds of villagers turning out for the annual walk of witness.
One youngster was overheard to say “We have the coolest vicar because he rdies a motorbike!

Rose Queen was Jess Needham and Rose Bud was Quinn Potter. Village Princes were twins Henry and Thomas Cross.

The retiring village Prince was Elmi Byron
After congregating on St Wilfrid’s playing field, the annual walk of witness took place followed by entertainment on the school field.
