Warrington named amongst top 10 best wildlife conservation hotspots in England

NEW research has revealed Warrington as one of the top 10 best wildlife conservation hotspots in England.

The outdoors experts at Millets have revealed the best conservation hotspots in England, Wales and Scotland, as well as the areas where certain species of animal are thriving the most, the areas with the most nature and park attractions, those with the most wildlife rescue centres, the number of nature groups per area and more.

The research revealed the following about Warrington:
• There have been 2,879 amphibian species sightings within a 10km radius
• 375 insect species sightings within a 10km radius
• 39 bird species sightings within a 10km radius
• 12 wildlife rescue centres within a 20-mile radius
