Children’s nursery is “outstanding” says Ofsted

LYMM’S Rosebank Centre children’s nursery has been judged “outstanding” by education watchdogs Ofsted.
Inspectors who visited the Pepper Street nursery declared all areas were “outstanding.”
Among the comments they made were:
“All children attending make excellent progress due to high-quality teaching.”
“Children demonstrate high levels of curiosity and engagement.”
“Staff know children very well and provide a rich variety of experiences based around children’s individual interest and information gathered from parents, or other providers.”
“Children receive excellent support from staff to settle into the setting and move to their next stage of learning”.
The Rosebank Centre considers that parent input is vital and parent’s informal sessions enable their valued input, as do “parent’s evening” sessions.
The gardens provide a space for children to learn and play with mud kitchens, gardening, story corner, slopes to run up and down, physical apparatus and undercover areas…a child’s paradise!
Ofsted say staff are positive, caring and respectful role models. Children show they are beginning to manage their own feelings and respect others.
“Leaders are extremely reflective, passionate and committed to the continual development of the nursery. They have devised highly effective methods of involving staff, parents and children in this process.
“Leaders are inspirational. They provide targeted and astute support for the professional development of all staff to enhance their already excellent knowledge and understanding. Child protection awareness and procedures are robust and staff are confident they are able to keep children safe from harm.
“The nursery has an excellent understanding of the requirements of The Early Years Foundation Stage. Leaders implement thorough, robust and meticulous monitoring procedures to ensure all requirements are met.”
