Celebrating 25 years of Lymm Life!

0

APRIL marks the 25th anniversary since the launch of Lymm Life magazine which has managed to survive the test of time, despite huge changes in the world of media.

Back in April 1999, the internet was still in its infancy, although local news was being reported daily online by sister publication warrington-worldwide – and social media like facebook, didn’t even exist.

Looking back at our launch issue few of the local businesses remain, although local undertaker John Burrows & Son and estate agency Banners, are both still going strong.

Below are some of the congratulation messages we have received as we celebrate our 25th anniversary.

Wishing Gary and all the team at Lymm Life a very happy 25th anniversary
“Gary reminded me that we’ve had an advert since that very first edition and the number of events over those years that Lymm Life has been a part of, or marked in some way, is staggering.
It’s always been a great way to get Lymm news, often uplifting with inspiring tales of our fellow villagers, occasionally giving us more difficult or sad information, but always a trusted and local friend.”

You have provided a medium of communication and celebration that has helped enormously with the strong community spirit that exists in Lymm.
You have promoted Lymm as a great place to live, learn, work and relax. You have never been afraid to be a fair and cricial friend of the organisations that support the village including WBC. Here’s to the next 25 years”.

Congratulations to Lymm Life Magazine on your remarkable 25th anniversary!
“It’s been an absolute pleasure advertising our business within the pages of your magazine throughout these years. Your platform has not only provided us with valuable exposure but has also connected us with the wonderful community of Lymm. Here’s to many more years of fruitful collaboration and continued success for both Lymm Life Magazine and our business!”

Lymm Life and Lymm Festival have both now celebrated 25 successful years – so we have grown together.
“All of us involved in the Festival are very grateful to Lymm Life for the support given to us in promoting our events over a quarter of a century.
The magazine has consistently supported all the events and festivals in the village and has been a major contributor to making Lymm such a great place in which to live.”
Ian Marks
Chair of Lymm Festival

Many congratulations to you and the team for reaching such a landmark
“25 years is quite something and you should all be very proud of what you have achieved. Lymm Life does so much to exemplify and support the wonderful community of Lymm, and long may that continue!”

“A fair minded and sometimes critical friend, that can hold decision makers to account in an even handed and informed way. Your news feeds capture the moments when we all come together as a community to celebrate memorable days and share what it means to be part of a very special village.
“We really are lucky to have a magazine and website dedicated to covering the news for and about Lymm, supported by local advertisers and delivered totally free to every home.
“Thank you to all the Lymm Life team for your dedicated service, long may it continue and here’s to another 25 years!”

Hard to believe it is 25 years!

It is almost 25 years now since my wife Su and I became involved in organising and promoting activities and events in the village: Art In The Garden, Historic Transport Day and, more recently, The Heritage Centre come to mind. In all that time the first place we have turned to for support and publicity has been Lymm Life Magazine. It has been a true village voice led and edited by someone who clearly cares deeply about our local community. Hard to believe it’s 25 years. Well done Gary ( and his father, David,) and thank you from us both.
