Greenall’s expand greener paper bottle to festival circuit

AS part of its ‘Greener Greenall’s’ initiative the Warrington based gin makers have extended their special paper bottles to the music festival circuit.

Greenall’s launched a Paper Bottle for its London Dry Gin in October last year and the move into paper packaging is part of the brand’s ‘Greener Greenall’s’ initiative.

The Greenall’s Paper Bottle is made from 94% recycled paperboard, is five times lighter than a standard glass bottle and uses four times less water. Inside the paper bottle is a food-grade pouch that contains the spirit. The bottle is 100% recyclable. More information here: Greener Greenalls – Greenalls GinGreenalls Gin

As part of the Greener Greenall’s initiative , Greenall’s is planting trees in partnership with Ecologi, a climate action organisation. For every bottle sold, a tree gets planted in an area of the world that needs the tree most. Greenall’s, with Ecologi, has already planted more than 25,000 trees.

This summer, the brand has extended its retail scheme to its festival programme, including last weekend’s Neighbourhood Weekender on Victoria Park.

Part of the festival programme is with Live Nation. Throughout the festivals, Greenall’s is rolling out a wooden token scheme where for every wooden token redeemed at the bar, a tree will be planted. Wooden token distribution took place throughout the day and festival-goers that receive one had the opportunity to ‘Spin the Bottle’ at the Greenall’s bar for a chance to win a selection of prizes, including a grand prize of a six-month’s supply of Greenall’s gin in its Paper Bottle.

The paper bottle is available for purchase in Sainsburys’ and on NeatandShaken.com.
