UPDATED: POLICE officers today searched the area around Lymm Dam amid concerns for the safety of an elderly woman described as “vulnerable”.
At least five police vehicle arrived at the beauty spot shortly after 8am and officers were seen searching both sides of the dam.
But the search was called off later after two officers found the woman near the Jolly Thresher pub. She had been missing for some time and was causing concern, but she had not come to any harm.
