Chance to question political parties at Debate Warrington

MEMBERS of the public will be given a chance to question the town’s political parties at “Debate Warrington” at Bold Street Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 19.

As with last year the debate’s chair will be Gary Skentelbery, editor of the local news magazine and website Warrington Worldwide. This year Radio Warrington have also agreed to record the debate, helping it reach a wider audience.

The event which starts at 7pm, is free to attend, and questions will be taken live from the audience and give the town’s political parties a chance to say why they should receive your vote at May 5th’s local elections..

So far confirmed are:

Russ Bowden (Labour)
Bob Barr (Lib Dems)
Sam Baxter (Conservatives)
Kevin Bennett (TUSC)
Lyndsay McAteer (Greens)

UKIP have been invited but are still to confirm.
