A SUGGESTION has been made that a multi-storey car park be built in Stockton Heath to alleviate parking problems in the area
Stockton Heath Parish Council heard of suggestions to build a second tier on the lower car park at The Forge shopping centre.
Coun Stephen Taylor said that a trader had requested that a higher level be built. Several members supported the idea and said that because the ground was low-lying the overall height would be acceptable.
Coun Sonia Boggan said the steps linking the two car parks were too narrow and steep, and asked if the owners could improve them.
The council agreed to pass on her comments to the owners.
