PUPILS from St Gregory’s High School have successfully completed a food hygiene course organised by Warrington Trading Standards.
The group were taught the basics of food hygiene, food preparation and cooking and given training on issues ranging from microbiology to food safety law.
Successful pupils were presented with nationally recognised certificates at a special ceremony at the school.
The borough council’s executive member for Community Services, Coun Roy Smith said: “Good food hygiene is essential to ensure that food prepared and sold in Warrington is safe to eat. It is very encouraging that the chefs of tomorrow are learning how to protect our consumers of tomorrow.”
