A drug-drive suspect was arrested at Great Sankey, Warrington after police acted on local intelligence.
On Tuesday Officers from the Roads & Crime Unit based at Penketh police station acting on local intelligence stopped a driver who had been reported to be using drugs prior to driving on a regular basis in the Great Sankey area.
The male was arrested for a number of offences and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police confirmed today: “At 12.52 pm on Tuesday 6 May officers stopped beige Suzuki Grand Virara on Charon Way, Warrington.
“The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, was arrested at the scene after failing a drugs test.
“The man has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
