A man has been arrested and charged with making threats to kill an 83-year-old man following an incident at Delph Lane, Winwick, Warrington.
Cheshire Police today confirmed the arrest of 55-year-old Ian Griffin following the incident last Thursday evening.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 7.20pm on Thursday 1 May, police were called to reports of a domestic incident whereby an 83-year-old man sustained serious injuries on Delph Lane, Warrington.
“Officers attended and arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of assault.
“Following questioning, Ian Griffin, of Adlington Road, Wilmslow, has since been charged with threats to kill, criminal damage, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, and sending offensive messages by a public communication network.
“Griffin was remanded in custody and is next set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 2 June.”
