Village school celebrates converting to Academy

GLAZEBURY CE Primary School has converted to an Academy school and joined the Liverpool Diocesan School Trust.
They celebrated the occasion with a special “party” day with a number of activities celebrating the theme of diversity.
A number of trees, donated by the Woodland Trust, were planted in the school grounds and pupils designed, painted and placed pebbles in the school’s “Only One You” inspired cross in the school garden.
Head teacher Mrs Karen Mowbray said: “It was a party, so there just had to be a celebration cake in our Collective Worship this morning.”
Staff and governors were involved in the many activities at the school during the day.
