Coffee morning offers opportunities for young people

A CHRISTMAS coffee morning offering networking opportunities for people wanting to open up opportunities for young people will be held at Warrington on Monday, December 2.
The event is being organised by support services and construction company Interserve at Floor 2, Bank Quay House, Sankey Street, from 10am to 12 noon.
Interserve Learning and Employment’s Lifegoals team will be there to meet local organisations who share their passion for opening up opportunities for young people.
The number of young people not in education, employment or training recently rose to 11.9 per cent in the UK, following years of decline. Official figures from the Office for National Statistics show an increase of 14,000 from the previous three months, with a total of 857,000 16-24-year-olds now falling within this bracket.
The festive season is approaching and for some, this time of the year be the hardest of all so Interserve want to continue working towards reducing this figure.
To register to attend the coffee morning – and receive a free mince pie – visit learning-emploument.com/GOALS or call the team on 0333 444 2770.
The event is open to all, including local residents, youth support organisations, schools, colleges and employers.
