Man attacked in early hours

A 52-year-old man was attacked and robbed as he walked home at Warrington in the early hours of the morning.
The incident was at Castle Green, in the Kingswood area of Westbrook.
Two men approached the victim and asked him for cigarettes. Then they attacked him, punched him and knocking him to the ground.
A 20-year-old man was arrested later, but freed on police bail. Detectives are still looking for the other man.
DS Paul Fitton said: “Incidents like this are rare in the Westbrook area and we are anxious to trace anyone who may have witnessed it.”
The attack took place at about 12.30am on Saturday, February 6.
