Police seek witnesses following death of motorcyclist near Lymm

POLICE are seeking witnesses following the death of a 54-year-old motorcyclist in a serious collision near Lymm last Wednesday, May 14.

Greater Manchester Police have sadly confirmed the death of the motorcyclist who was involved in a collision with a Citroen C1 travelling along Moss Lane, between Partington and Warburton at the junction with Warburton Lane at around 9.30 am on Wednesday, May 14,
The 54-year-old man motorcyclist, sustained serious injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A man in his 70s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, he has since been bailed.
As officers continue their investigative work, they are now appealing for anyone with information regarding the collision to come forward.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “As officers continue their investigative work, they are now appealing for anyone with information regarding the collision to come forward.
“This includes anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage of the incident, or saw what happened.”
