A CONTRACT catering company, with a base in Warrington, has secured a top 10 place in the high profile Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list of companies 2009.
The national independent company, Catering Academy, beat off the competition to secure 10th position in the table which looks at company’s growth in terms of annual turnover, sales growth and profit.
Catering Academy had sales growth of 156 per cent year on year. It was formed only five years ago and the annualised £855,000 in 2005 increased to £14.3million in 2008.
Richard Branson, founder and president of the Virgin Group, which sponsors the awards, will host an awards dinner at his home in Kidlington, Oxfordshire in May.
Catering Academy director Louise Wymer said: “Just to be nominated in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 is an honour in itself, then to be included was a dream come true, but to be ranked within the top 10 is a phenomenal accomplishment for the team at Catering Academy.
“To enter the table so highly in a year that has been publicly slammed as ‘economically uncertain’ is an indicator of how hard all our staff, managers and directors work throughout the year to make such an achievement possible.”
