WARRINGTON Rylands were knocked out of the Semi-Final of the Liverpool Senior Cup by a very good Everton under 21 side on Tuesday evening as they were defeated 4 – 1.

Playing at Walton Hall Park on their Hybrid pitch Warrington gave a good account of themselves and did not look out of place against a professional squad.
The score didn’t reflect the whole story; Everton only had four realistic shots on goal but managed to score from each one whereas Rylands hit the bar twice, the post once with the keeper make some great saves throughout the game.
The damage was done in the first half with two wonder goals from Martin Sherif. A third, scored by Owen Barker appeared to have clinched the tie.

Once again Neil Reynold’s half-time talk inspired the travelling side who came out for the second half looking to fight back.
Jake Burton’s hard work finally paid off after previously hit the bar and the post and challenged the keeper on several occasions when he was finally rewarded with a goal following an incredible run through the Toffee’s defence and a powerful shot into the top right hand corner, leaving the keeper lost in mid-air.
Sadly a fourth incredible Everton goal extinguished any thoughts of a come-back as Jacob Beaumont-Clark’s shot beat Pilling, hit the post and rebounded into the net.
This was now a good time for Reno to bring on the two signings from Ryland’s Development Squad and straight away Kris Smith had a chance to score.
This Saturday, April 5th The Blues will be back at The Hive Arena where they will host third place Guiseley for what promises to be an exciting match.
