Warrington Deaf Centre launches Community Wellbeing Programme

THE Warrington Deaf Centre has announced the launch of a new Community Wellbeing Programme, designed to provide fun and supportive activities for the deaf community in Warrington and surrounding areas.

The Community Wellbeing Programme aims to foster a sense of belonging and enhance the overall wellbeing of participants through a variety of engaging activities and personalised support. A key feature of the programme is the 1-1 Support, offering personalised assistance to help individuals with their specific needs. This tailored support is designed to ensure that each participant receives the attention and resources they need to thrive.

The programme includes:
• 1-1 Support: Personalised assistance to help individuals with their specific needs.
• Cooking: Opportunities to gain experience with different recipes and cooking methods to enhance healthy eating.
• Craft: Opportunities to explore creativity with various craft projects.
• Art: Sessions to express oneself through painting, drawing, and more.
• Knitting: Workshops to learn new knitting techniques and create beautiful items.
• Sewing: Classes to improve sewing skills and make unique pieces.
• Crochet: Relaxing crochet sessions for all skill levels.
• Darts: Fun games to test aim and enjoy friendly competition.
• Snooker: Enjoyable snooker games in a welcoming environment.
• Deaf Café: A social space to enjoy refreshments and connect with others.
• Bingo: Exciting bingo games with great prizes.
• Social Club: Various social activities to meet new people and build connections.
