Couple resurrect wedding plans and tie the knot after cheering on the Wire in Las Vegas

AFTER having their wedding cancelled during COVID Wire fans Ged Upham and Jean Harrison resurrected their plans as they followed Warrington Wolves to Las Vegas.

Retired detective Ged, aged 65, got married to his longtime partner Jean, also 65, after watching the Wire lose out 48-24 to arch-rivals Wigan Warriors.

Their disappointment at the result didn’t last long as their wedding took place the following day at the “Fabulous” Las Vegas Chapel and was officiated by Elvis, who had everyone dancing!

They had been planning their wedding in Las Vegas just before the Covid lockdown and had to cancel.

But when the Wire season ticket holders heard about the Warrington v Wigan game, they resurrected the plan.
