FIRE crews were called out on three occasions yesterday evening (Wednesday) to tackle fires in the open, including a large grass fire at Lymm.
At 21:10 crews from Penketh and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called out to reports of a fire on Booths Lane, Lymm.
Crews had been called to a large fire involving grass in the open in Lymm. Firefighters used beaters and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Earlier at 20:16 two fire engines from Warrington and Lymm, plus one fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called out to reports of a fire near Deans Lane, Thelwall.
The incident involved a couple of areas on fire near a canal in Warrington and firefighters used an extended hose reel to extinguish them.
At 19:15 One fire engine from Warrington was called to an incident near Mersey Walk off Woolston Eyes.
Firefighters used a water backpack to extinguish a fire in the open.
No causes have been given for any of the incidents.
