Entries are now open for One More Lap, a charity ultramarathon that’s making a big difference to the lives of young people in Cheshire.

This September One More Lap, a day-long charity festival of running, is coming to Cheshire, to raise money for Warrington Youth Zone.
Taking place in Tarporley, on Sunday 14th September 2025, One More Lap challenges teams of runners to complete as many laps of the Cheshire Polo Club as they can in 12 hours.
The free to enter event sees run-loving groups of friends get together to enjoy the festival atmosphere, test their endurance, and raise money for local charity, Warrington Youth Zone. While there’s no entry fee, teams commit to raising £200 per runner.
Teams of between 4 and 6, run relay-style around the mile-long lap from sunrise to sunset and into the dark. And when they’re not running, teammates & their supporters, can rest & refuel in the event camp, with great food & drink from street-food stalls, while enjoying live music from bands & DJs.
There are prizes up for grabs for the teams that raise the most money, run the most laps and the best dressed gazebo.

Max Hopkinson, Run Director at One More Lap, said: “One More Lap brings the fun to ultras. Yes, it’s a challenge however good at running but you don’t need to be an ultra-runner to take part. So, some teams will battle it out to do the most laps, but it’s an accessible & friendly event where you can be a winner by walking the course dressed as an inflatable dinosaur. One More Lap’s really about spending time with your running buddies, in a fantastic festival atmosphere, doing something you love, knowing that it’s making a genuine impact on the lives of kids in Cheshire.”
The event is aiming to raise £50,000 for local Cheshire charity, Warrington Youth Zone. Redefining what a youth club offers, Warrington Youth Zone supports young people’s development by providing a wide range of engaging after school activities, run by fully trained youth workers. Allowing young people to make friendships, build confidence and develop skills for life.
Nick Scott, Director of Fundraising at Warrington Youth Zone, said: “By taking part in One More Lap, runners can make a huge difference to the lives of young people here in Cheshire. Warrington Youth Zone gives young people the support they need to reach their potential, but like One More Lap, it’s a team effort – we can only do that with your support. So, whether your team raises £800 or £3,000, you’ll help to fund the activities that are changing the lives of the next generation.”
Entries are open now. Head to the One More Lap website to register your team.
