A team of 30 traders from Warrington Market recently conquered the summit of Snowdon helping raise over £1,700 for two charities.

They have currently raised £1,718.83, which will be split between Claire House Hospice, and Warrington Youth Zone and are still accepting donations online via https://gofund.me/d58a9998 and are hoping to hit £2k.

As well as Claire House Hospice, funds will go towards Warrington Youth Zone, a state if the art facility, purpose built to support young people from across the town.

Todays youth face many challenges, they have lived through unpresidented times and are still facing uncertainty in their future. Youth Zones provide a safe space where members can come, have fun and make friends. But it is also a place where they can access support with their home life, their schooling, their emotions and their worries- without a waiting list and with a person that they know and trust.
With 8,500 members, Warrington Youth Zone is home to more than 1,500 young people each week. We are open 7 days a week, making sure that we are there for young people when and how they need us to be. For just 50p, young people can come in and access ALL of our facilities, they can also access meals for £1, which in current times is a lifeline for both young people and their families.
Every penny raised, goes directly toward providing young people with a better future.
Sarah Brennan, Fundraising coordinator at WYZ said; “We are very grateful and proud of everyone who took part in climbing Snowdon and we would like to thank all those who donated to both charities. Your support will ensure that the doors of the Youth Zone can open, day after day, and enable young people to develop their emotional and physical wellbeing, make new friends, and ultimately unlock their potential.
