Youth Support Hub to be launched

THE official launch of Interserve’s Youth Support Hub in Warrington, helping people aged 15-24, will be held on Thursday September 22.

Interserve, a training and employment provider, has secured a two-year SFA contract to increase the number of young people in work, education or further education across the town.

‘LIFEGOALS’ is the new support service offered across Warrington to help young residents who haven’t yet had the right opportunity, encouragement or funding to find a job or work experience.

From further education to work experience or an apprenticeship, Interserve’s key workers will assist with information, advice and guidance to kick-start their next steps.

A learner on the programme, Adam, aged 24, said “I have learnt things on this course from my tutor James that I didn’t think were even possible. This is the most positive environment I have ever been in and I now feel like ‘I can’ rather than being told ‘I can’t’.”

Interserve is inviting potential users of their service as well as other local stakeholders to come along on the day to meet the team and learn how they can help to change the face of local youth unemployment.  RSVP at ILE.BUZZ/EVENTS or alternatively, contact [email protected].

If you would like to know more about the LIFEGOALS programme in advance of the event, please email the team on [email protected] or visit https://learning-employment.com/goals/.
