PENSIONERS celebrated St George’s Day in style with a special event at St Benedict’s Club in Orford, Warrington.

Organised by Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC and supported by Tony Gandy and Warrington Lions the “sold out” event will provided food, drink and entertainment for 110 pensioners and friends including a goody bag – all for just £3 per head.

St George was in attendance to support the occasion as pensioners, family and friends entered into the spirit of the occasion.

The flag of St George was also flown at Warrington town hall to mark the occasion, while some homes around the town also displayed flags.
