AT least 15 new jobs will be created if plans to change the use of a building on the Farrell Industrial Estate, Howley Lane, Warrington are given the go-ahead.
An application has been submitted to the borough council by Trucks and Vans NI Ltd., to change the use of the recently refurbished 100-year-old building for the sale, service and repair of commercial and heavy vehicles.
Layout and size of the site and building will remain unchanged and there will be little change in the appearance of the building, other than the installation of two vehicular doors on the south elevation and the removal of masonry on the west elevation, which will be replaced by full height glazed curtain walling.
Offices will be provided within the building and the existing car park will be extended.
The applicant already has several similar commercial repair/retail outlets in Ireland.
Charging points for electric vehicles will be installed within the site.
Jobs will be available for sales staff, technicians, fitters and administrative and support staff.
