KINGSLAND Grange based document management company, the Sharples Group, have become one of the sponsors for the second annual Warrington Festival.

Director David Griffiths said he was hugely impressed by the level of entertainment and activities made available to audiences at the first two week event last year.

“Like many others, I welcomed the aim to make the Warrington Festival an annual event and had no hesitation in donating a sum of money to the team that seems to be determined to produce another spectacular festival that will, without doubt, be far too good to miss.

“Events like the festival put the name of Warrington out there far and wide. And that serves to raise awareness of the town and ultimately the communities and businesses, large and small, that serve that town. I hope that next year more small to medium sized businesses will get involved in sponsorship.”

The latest Warrington Festival launches on Friday September 16 when three legendary 1980s music names Go West, Nick Kershaw and special guest T’Pau will wow audiences at Warrington’s Bank Park.

A whole list of fun and interesting events will follow through the next fortnight including the English Half Marathon, the Cycle Festival, the Contemporary Arts festival and many, many other activities.

The success of Warrington’s role as official host town in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup led to the decision to see if there was adequate demand for a town-based festival. The end result was the Warrington Festival of 2015 which was an outright success.

David added: “Warrington is a superb town which is occupied by some exciting, far-sighted people, so I’m convinced the Warrington Festival will simply run and run…”
