Morris dancers bring home a clutch of trophies

LYMM Morris Dance troupe, the Adivas, brought back a clutch of trophies from  the recent championships in Prestatyn.
Troupe leader Kate Pritchard said: “The dancers did exceptionally well in their first championships.  I am really proud of them.”
The youngest troupe, the ‘Dinkies’ were “Troupe of the Year” and first place champions on the day.
Anais Talbot, aged seven, was best Dinkies leader and Masie Delayney, aged five was both Mascot of the Year and Mascot on the day.
The Tinies A troupe were runners-up for Troupe of the Year and gained second place on the day.  The Tinies B troupe were third placed on the day.
Megan Lawrinson aged 11 was both the overall Leader of the Year and best leader on the day.
The Seniors achieved second place on the day.
Two young dancers, Faye Griffiths and Grace Main, both won trophies for  Champion Marching achievements and Pete Delayney was the Champion Marcher for the parents’ section.
