Wizards in bikini car wash!

0
WARRINGTON Wizards will be holding a Bikini Car Wash tomorrow, Saturday (April 14) to raise

funds to send one of their players to represent their country.

Troy Brophy has been selected to represent BARLA Great Britain under 23s

when they tour Jamaica in June.

Each player on the tour has to pay for the costs themselves and

the Wizards have pulled together to try and send Troy off with a series of

fundraising events starting with the Car Wash.

Several members of the Wizards’ squad will be dressed in bikinis outside

McDonalds on Winwick Road in Warrington.

Troy said: “The idea came about when the weather was really good a couple

of weeks ago, and we thought it would be good to do if the weather held. Even

though we haven’t had the good weather lately, we’re still planning to go ahead

with it anyway.”

The cost of sending each player to Jamaica is £2,000, and there will be

more fundraising events to be announced in future. They aim to raise over £250

from the car wash and customers will be asked to donate £5 for each car

washed.

The car wash will start from 9.30am until 3pm and

this will be a perfect opportunity to see your Warrington Wizards as you have

never seen them before.

Troy said: “I’ve told everyone to get their own bikinis, and I have bought

a bright pink one. I might even wear a blonde wig to go with it!”

Anyone who wishes to know more information, or would like to donate money

to Troy’s tour costs call Troy on 07758 745546 or email media manager James

Gordon on [email protected]
