A musical extravaganza took place in the town centre as Warrington Music Festival returned for the Bank Holiday weekend.

On Saturday the free, open-air Warrington Music Festival took place at Golden Square’s Old Market Place shining a spotlight on new and emerging indie rock talent from across the region.

New for 2024 was a second stage at Time Square showcasing a more diverse range of artists and music genres, aimed at bringing a wider audience to the popular annual event.
There was live music throughout the day at both venues culminating in a headline performance by local talent The Ambersons at Golden Square.

Then on Sunday Time Square hosted the highly anticipated Proms in the Square for the second year running with a celebration of music, community spirit and cultural diversity.
The line-up featured talented performers to entertain audiences of all ages in the impressive outdoor space.

While the weather remained fine on Saturday, the rains arrived just in time for the Proms in the Square!
