THE re-arranged Culcheth Community Day will take place as planned come rain or shine this Bank Holiday Monday, May 27.

Originally scheduled for the first Bank Holiday in May the event was cancelled at short notice due to ongoing flooding issues with the village green.

Despite heavy rain in the week and more rain forecast over the Bank Holiday weekend, organisers say the event will take place as scheduled.

There have been some changes to the original Community Day programme but the evnt will start at 12 noon and include a Ukelele Band, entertainer Ian Zippy Lees, Culcheth Community Choir, the Pet Show and fun and games.
There will also be tractors and children’s rides as well as activities in the Methodist Hall, Newchurch Parish Hall, Culcheth centre and the Scout Centre.

One of the organisers, Sue Bland said: “The show must go on… Yes, Community Day is still happening, come rain or shine.
“So please come along and support the various charities… Not forgetting the ever-popular pet show!”

Culcheth Community Day is organised by Culcheth & Glazebury Parish Council.
