Homecoming Parade planned for Warrington Wolves IF they win at Wembley

A Homecoming Parade is being planned IF Warrington Wolves beat Wigan Warriors at Wembley in the Challenge Cup Final.

In the event that Warrington Wolves Rugby League team are successful in the Challenge Cup Final taking place on Saturday 8th June 2024, the Homecoming Parade will be taking place on Sunday 9th June 2024, as and when signed on site.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice that, on the occasion of the Warrington Wolves homecoming parade, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets on Sunday 9th June 2024, as and when the signs are in place on site.

Temporary Prohibition of Stopping:
Crosfield Street (East Side) From its junction with Sankey Street to its junction with Midland Way.

Temporary Prohibition of Driving:
The following roads will be closed in phases at various times to facilitate the safe passage of the parade:
Academy Street
Academy Way
Barbauld Street
Bridge Street
Buttermarket Street
Cairo Street
Church Street
Dial Street
Egypt Street
Friars Gate
Manchester Road
Rylands Street
Sankey Street
St Austins Lane
St Marys Green
Suez Street
Wilson Patten Street
Winmarleigh Street

Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the above streets during the hours specified. Any person willfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access will be under the control of the organisers. Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
