Road closure for electrical works at Penketh

A two day road closure is set to take place at Penketh next month (June) to allow electrical connection works.

The road closure will be at Hall Nook from its junction with Warrington Road (pictured) to its junctionw ith Woodley Fold.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hall Nook from its junction with Warrington Road to its junction with Woodley Fold.
The Order will be effective from 18th June 2024 for 2 days, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Inglenook Road, Elm Road, Oak Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out electrical connection works.
