WARRINGTON Collegiate has been voted one of the top three for website quality in a survey of 300 higher education establishments in the country.
A survey organised by Sitemorse, a company specialising in web governance, monitoring, recording and benchmarking, audited Warringnton Collegiate to see how it performed against a rigid list of criteria.
Scoring high marks in vital tests in accessibility, compliance and performance, the college beat Oxford and Cambridge universities (220 and 217 respectively) among other top colleges and universities.
Warrington Collegiate’s website proved to be accessible, user-friendly and attractive.
Principal Paul Hafren said: “When so much communication is web based it is heartening to know that we have developed a very effective website. Well done to our marketing team.”
Head of communications at Sitemorse, Geoff Paddick said: “Clearly colleges offering Higher Education are spending more time and effort on their websites, ensuring that links work, pages have titles and that students are considered at every stage.”
