Dunn disappointed

WARRINGTON Town boss Joey Dunn says he was “extremely disappointed”

following the club’s 4th consecutive defeat as they bowed out of the

Evo-Stik League Cup at the first hurdle.
He says the team have been “too easy to play” against, playing too deep and is looking for a big improvement when the side returns to league action at Trafford on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
“We have got to regroup and see where we are injury wise,” said Dunn.
He is hoping leading goal scorer Tony Evans will return from injury to help bolster the side which showed so much promise after going 12 games unbeaten from the start of the season, culminating in Dunn receiving the Manager of the Month award for September.
“We have got to show character, regroup and get back on our metal.
“If you don’t do things right you will get punished. We are sitting too deep collectively as a side leaving the midfield with too much space to cover.
“We are going back to our old habits and dropping off. We weren’t good enough against Witton and deserved what we got.
“I have got high aspirations for this team and I am getting sick of saying the same things after the last few games.
“If the players are not going to listen I will have to look at bringing in other players.
“I am not happy with the way we have been playing and extremely disappointed and it has cost us.
“You get into good habits when you are winning and bad habits when you are losing.”
