THE Walton Lea Partnership has announced the launch of its very first Scarecrow Trail, running throughout July and August, perfectly timed for the summer school holidays.
Over the past few weeks, talented Learners have been hard at work designing and creating a wonderful collection of scarecrows inspired by Walton Lea Partnership’s activities, as well as some of their favourite characters from films and books. The trail promises plenty of colour, creativity and surprises for visitors of all ages.
The project has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Cheshire Community Foundation, which provided funding for the scarecrow materials and assembly costs. Local businesses have also kindly sponsored individual scarecrows.
Located close to Walton Hall and Gardens and Walton Crematorium, Walton Lea Partnership (WA4 6TB) is just a short walk from the park, making it an ideal and affordable family day out.
Visitors are invited to explore the beautiful Walled Garden, discover the unique scarecrows at their own pace, and enjoy everything their site has to offer. The on-site café serves teas, coffees and delicious homemade cakes, while their shop features products handmade by their Learners and produce grown in their gardens. And, of course, no visit would be complete without seeing ourtheirFamilies are welcome to bring a picnic and spend a relaxing few hours enjoying the gardens and the trail.
Walton Lea Partnership is open Monday to Saturday, from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Entry to the Scarecrow Trail is by a voluntary donation of £1 per adult, with children admitted free of charge.
