A road closure for up to three weeks is set to come into force at Culcheth, Warrington, next month, (August) to allow gas mains replacement works.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Hampson Avenue from its junction with Warrington Road to its junction with Kaye Avenue.
The Order will be effective from 10th August 2026 for 3 weeks, as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Hampson Avenue, Newchurch Lane, Warrington Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out mains replacement works.
