A flood warning has been renewed for parts of Warrington as higher-than-normal high tides are expected to bring further flooding overnight.
The Environment Agency has issued a warning for the Mersey Estuary at Arpley Bridge, following a previous flood warning over the weekend.
Flooding is expected along Chester Road, between Brian Bevan Island and Arpley Railway Bridge, and on Arpley Road.
The Environment Agency says flooding is expected up to 12.30am on Tuesday, October 27, with the areas most likely to be affected including parts of Chester Road, Arpley Road and the area underneath Arpley Railway Bridge.
The agency is also anticipating the next high tide tomorrow afternoon, October 27, to reach the flood warning threshold.
Higher-than-normal high tides are expected over the next two days, meaning further flood alerts and warnings may be issued.
The Environment Agency says it is closely monitoring the situation.
Residents and road users in affected areas are urged to remain alert to changing conditions.
Anyone with a flood plan is advised to start putting it into action and take appropriate precautions.
