A Warrington-based fuel distributor has announced a 12-month sponsorship deal with one of Britain’s most promising young female racing drivers.
Certas Energy, the UK’s largest independent fuel distributor, is supporting 18-year-old Formula 4 driver Daniella Sutton from warrington, as she prepares for her upcoming racing season.
The partnership will help the young driver meet the travel costs associated with competing across the country, with Certas Energy providing a fuel card to support journeys to races, meetings and other events.
The company officially signed the sponsorship agreement at its Warrington headquarters, where Daniella spoke about her ambition to progress through the highly competitive world of single-seater motorsport.
Daniella has already enjoyed a series of achievements in her young career, including her strongest British F4 performance to date at Silverstone in September 2026.
Starting 24th on the grid, she fought her way through the field to finish 16th, marking a career-best result.
She was also recognised as the UK’s number one-performing female in a Junior ARDS Affiliated Championship in 2025 and previously became the inaugural BRSCC Junior Fiesta Scholarship Champion.
Daniella first discovered her passion for racing at the age of six, when she climbed into a go-kart with encouragement from her father, who shares her enthusiasm for motorsport.
Despite living with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, she has continued to pursue her ambitions and is an official ambassador for the Juvenile Arthritis Research Charity, aiming to inspire others facing adversity to follow their dreams.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Daniella said: “It means the absolute world to have the support of Certas Energy, both on and off the track.
“Motorsport is all about continuous improvement, finding marginal gains and always looking for ways to perform better, and striving to be the absolute best you can be – and I see a lot of those same qualities reflected in Certas Energy.
“We share a focus on growth, progress and pushing ourselves to achieve more.
“Having the support of a local business that shares my values means a huge amount, and I am so excited to see what we can achieve together in the next 12 months.
“Without their support as my fuel partner, doing what I love and what I do best would simply not be possible.”
She added that partnering with a Warrington-based business was particularly exciting, with both sharing a determination to achieve their best.
Zoe Harrison, Head of Sales, Liquid Renewables at Certas Energy, said the company was delighted to support Daniella at such an important stage in her career.
She said: “What really shines through with Daniella is not only her talent behind the wheel, but also her determination, professionalism and ongoing commitment to continually improving and pushing herself to achieve more.
“At Certas Energy, we know that success is built on hard work, ambition and resilience. Those are qualities Daniella demonstrates every day, both on and off the track, making her a natural fit for our business.
“We’re also passionate about supporting greater female representation across motorsport and STEM-related industries, and Daniella is a fantastic role model for young women considering careers in sectors that have traditionally been male dominated.”
Zoe added that the company was particularly proud to support a local sporting talent making her mark on the national stage.
She said Certas Energy looked forward to following Daniella’s progress throughout the coming season and celebrating her achievements along the way.
The sponsorship forms part of Certas Energy’s wider commitment to supporting local communities and individuals, alongside its work providing fuel and energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers across the UK.
