TRAFFIC congestion is set to continue from Monday (Feb 17) with the next phase of road works on Winwick Road, Warrington.
As from Monday 17th February for one week, the junction of Long Lane at Winwick Road will be closed.
The road closures are in place while United Utilities install a new water main.
The ongoing road works, which started on February 1st, have led to traffic congestion in the area. Traffic orders for various road closures were put in place bhy Warrington Borough Council, for up to seven weeks.
As a result local bus diversions will be in place. The 20 and 21 will be on diversion. The 20 will divert along the A49 to Sandy Lane roundabout, Sandy Lane, Cotswold Road and resume normal route.
The 21 will continue to follow the same diversion as the daytime closures from previous weeks as below:
Service 21 will run as normal to Northway and then divert via Long Lane, Orford Green, Hallfields Road, Norris Street, Orford Ave, and Orford Lane to rejoin its normal route at Pinners Brow.
