GRAPPENHALL remain dangerously close to the relegation zone in the Cheshire County League premier division after another narrow defeat.

Batting first, at home to Chester Boughton Hall, they were all out for 194 in the 44th over – something of a recovery after being 78-5 at one time.
Ben Bodha, 54 and Tom Bramhall, 37 led the mid-order fight back.
After tea, Bramhall, 3-28 and Arav Shetty, 3-37, made early inroads and at 20-4, the visitors looked in trouble. But another mid-order rally followed and although at 166-8 Grappers looked likely to snatch victory, the visitors’ lower order hung on to claim victory by two wickets.
Warrington won by a massive 169 runs at Langley in the Cheshire League division one after amassing 300-7 in 45 overs.
Opener Aamir Ali hit 57, Ashley Scholes 50, Harley Barratt 59 and Jonathan Howell 44 as Warrington plundered runs from a tiring Langley attack.
The home side were never in the hunt and were dismissed for 131 in the 28th over.
