Labour elect new leadership team

FOLLOWING on from their local election successes the Labour group at Warrington town hall elected Cllr. Hans Mundry and Cllr. Jean Flaherty as Leader and Deputy Leader.

Commenting on his re-election Cllr. Mundry said: “It’s an honour, that members of the Labour Group have put their trust in me again to serve as their Leader for another 4 years.

“I want to thank everyone who voted for Labour last Thursday and I look forward to being able to get on with the job, delivering for the people of Warrington.”

Cllr. Flaherty, who takes over from Cllr Janet Henshaw as deputy leader added: “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for me on Tuesday, and to every single person who voted Labour last week.
“We have an opportunity to do great things for Warrington and I can’t wait to get started”
