A CHARITY that supports people facing homelessness in Warrington has received a £1,000 donation from Amazon’s Warrington fulfilment centre.

Room at the Inn provides vital, immediate services to people in Warrington who are vulnerable to homelessness. The charity offers hot meals, sleeping bags, food bank vouchers or small food parcels and clothes washing services.
The charity also provides emergency accommodation, access to showers, clothing, and someone to talk to, to help people access the amenities they need to move forward with their lives.
The team at Amazon in Warrington invited staff from Room at the Inn on site to present a collection of essential products such as sleeping bags and blankets, to distribute to homeless people in the Warrington area this winter.
This donation will go towards helping renovate the hall area, allowing space for more service user to access the service, and to allow for group sessions, further supporting the needs of service users.

James Pitt, Site Leader at Amazon in Warrington, said: “Room at the Inn is a fantastic charity that offers vital services for vulnerable people in our community. The team at Amazon in Warrington is pleased to make a donation of items to the charity’s staff and volunteers and we hope it helps the Room at the Inn team to continue delivering its important services over the Christmas period.”
Selina Miller, from Room at the Inn, said: “The team at Room at the Inn is very grateful to receive this donation. It will make a great difference to individuals in our community who are facing homelessness. Thank you to the team at Amazon in Warrington.”
