Firefighters help rescue two people after car crashes into ditch

TWO fire crews were called out following reports of a car crashing into a ditch.

At 18:39 yesterday, (Thursday) crews from Lymm and Birchwood, were called to reports of a collision on Moss Lane, High Legh, where a single-vehicle road traffic collision was attended by emergency services.

Fire crews assisted two casualties who were physically trapped after the vehicle left the road into a ditch.

Firefighters provided casualty care and assisted the occupants out of the vehicle and handed them over to paramedics.

Crews then made the vehicle safe before leaving the incident with the police.
