It’s been filmed in locations including The Brass Monkey pool bar, The Hive and the old bank vault as well as in the village of Culcheth.

“We are very excited to film in Warrington,” says director Ciaron Davies “as it’s a stunning backdrop for our exciting action film and the local businesses have been a great help in the filming that we have done there.”

Principal photography is now well underway for the new UK gangster epic, “Geezers”, a high-octane crime caper about a stolen bag of money and a war between rival gangs who want to get it. Caught in the crossfire are ‘The Geezers’ a bunch of wannabe criminals who have bitten off more than they can chew. With 24 hours to grab the cash, London may just go up in smoke tonight. This is a high-octane British gangster film with an international cast including Shaun Ryder and Bez (From Happy Mondays fame), Hannah Bang Bendz (Wrath of Dracula), Sean Cronin (Mission Impossible), Ciaron Davies, Ashley Hudson and Steven Woollard. Written and directed by Ciaron Davies (Grainne Uaile, 5th dimension, Magic Island).

A scene from the movie

A fast paced thrill ride packed with car chances, shootouts and compelling action scenes, Geezers is somewhere between Snatch and John Wick. Featuring a lot of tactical stunt work, martial arts and brilliantly visualised violent aesthetics, the movie is also reminiscent of Hong Kong crime films as well as working within the genre of a British gangster flick. The cast is diverse and it is the intention of the film-maker (Ciaron Davies) to create an exciting gangster film for a modern audience.
It’s produced by Loose Gripp Films and distributed by High Fliers.
