FITBOX – an exciting new fitness concept exclusively available at local leisure provider LiveWire is launching next month.

The dynamic boutique-style boxing and functional fitness workout experience will incorporate 12 rounds of exercises, alternating between functional moves and bag work over a 45 minute period.

There will be a mix of sessions, open to all (no previous boxing experience required) as well as dedicated sessions for under-16s, families, and women-only sessions.

Specific sessions will also be targeted to engage with what are typically hard to reach communities in order to have a positive impact on reducing anti-social behaviour in the immediate area.

The former function room at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub has undergone a dramatic transformation for the launch of FITBOX and is now a state-of-the-art fitness space.

LiveWire group exercise instructors have undergone training with England Boxing in preparation for the launch of FITBOX.

Included in the FITBOX studio will be:
· Boxing bags
· Training ring
· Functional training equipment such as kettlebells, battle-ropes, power bags, slam balls and more
· Curved treadmills
· Air Bikes
· Specialist boxing bags
· Digital LED lighting system to create an immersive experience with fast paced moving and strobing lighting for dynamic/up-tempo classes.

Kev Forester, Commercial Director for LiveWire, said: “We’re really excited to launch this brand new fitness offer to our members. We were keen to offer a new workout experience to our customers to help invigorate their training routines. Boxing is a great way to burn calories, improve fitness, improve body shape, and to relieve stress but we know that many people would not feel comfortable stepping into a more traditional boxing gym.

“With this concept we wanted to ensure we created an offer that is open to all, bringing the benefits of such training into a non-intimating and inclusive environment with the emphasis more being on getting a good workout, as opposed to the more technical boxing elements.”

“We look forward to welcoming our members to this new space and hope they will be as excited as we are about this new addition to our exercise programme.”

FITBOX sessions will be included for all-inclusive members at no additional charge. Members are able to utilise the space for their own workouts when the studio is not in use for organised sessions. Non-members will able to access this space on a Pay As You Go basis.

There will be a V.I.P. launch event for FITBOX on Thursday 28th April followed by classes going live on Tuesday 3rd May
