THE annual jazz concert organised by the Lymm and Thelwall branch of Contact the Elderly will be held at Grappenhall Community Centre on Friday, February 15.
As usual the popular Chicago Teddy Bears jazz band will be providing the music and the £12.50 admission charge will include a two-course supper.
The Teddy Bears play a wide range of music, ranging from jazz classics to comedy numbers.
The usual line-up is Ken Doran (trumpet and vocals), John Hallam (saxophones and clarinet), Brian Singleton (drums and vocals), Rae Owens (bass and vocals), Frank Slater (trombone), Neville Goodwin (piano) and Tony Ormesher (banjo and guitar).
Contact the Elderly rely on the concert to raise money to organise afternoon teas, trips out and other functions for elderly people in the local area.
Further details are available from Colin Melrose on 01925 756742.
