LATCHFORD Albion Giants kept their amazing unbeaten run intact with a 32-24 victory at Hindley Stags Reserves.

But they were given a stern test and needed a strong second-half performance to claim victory.
Coach Sean Bond knew in advance that a number of players were unavailable so fully utilised his squad with five players on debut.
This led to a scrappy first half while combinations were gelling. The hosts took advantage of this and held a deserved 20-14 lead at half-time.

At the interval, the talk was about improving discipline and having a higher competition rate, which saw Albion take control of the game and ultimately come away victors which in turn extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
Scorers for Latchford were Logan Lagar (2), River Cole, Jack Done, Nathan Quinn, Joe Higgins, Tyler Cliffe, with Done adding two conversions.
