CELEBRATIONS for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next June in Stockton Heath have been given a £4,000 boost.
The Parish Council has allocated the money as “additional expenditure” in its budget for next year.
Members have formed a working party to plan celebrations following comments from Cllr Graham Roughsedge that this year little had been done to mark the Royal Wedding.
Cllr Stephen Taylor said there were opportunities to work with other parish councils and Warrington Borough Council on joint celebrations.

A festival AND a Jubliee celebration? why couldn’t they just merge the two?
The £4k could have been spent on opening and running the public toilets.
