Stolen car torched

POLICE are investigating a fire which left a car badly damaged at Warrington during the night.
The blaze was in Valiant Close, Padgate and it is believed the car had earlier been stolen and then abandoned and set on fire.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a hosereel.
In a separate incident, fire crews tacked a blaze involving a motor cycle on open land off Hayscastle close, Westbrook. Again, a hose reel jet was used.
Firefighters were also called out to deal with a blaze on open land off Dallam Lane, Warrington. A large quantity of rubbish was on fire and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish it.
There was no damage to property.
